There are claims that Eastern Wild Turkeys are larger the Merriam Wild Turkeys but I have been raising gamebirds for over 28 years and find them to be the same in size. I have to say I think the Merriams are about the prettiest of the wilds. The white tips of the tail and the white highlights in the wings and back feathers make them a beautiful bird.
